Take a Walk in Our Shoes Poetry Challenge Day 9

Today's photo made me think of when my daughter was little. She had these little feet but was exploring all of their endless possibilities. Sometimes it great to take time to marvel at all the ways can explore this world. Whether you are little or big, let the beauty of the world captivate you. Dream big and explore.

Little Feet, Big Plans
by Darlene Daley

Run like a cheetah.
Do a dino stomp.
Tip-toe like mice.
Boogie to the beat.
Leap like a gazelle.
Hike tall mountains.
Wiggle like a worm.
Perfect ninja kicks.
Gallop like a racehorse.
Bound across make-believe lands.
These feet may be little,
by we have big plans.

  1. Need my Work Boots
    By Karla Santoro

    No sitting around watching tv,
    I’ve got work to do!

    No lazy days happening here;
    I’ve got work to do!

    Rake the leaves!
    Clean the coop!
    Water the horses!
    Clean up poop!

    No lazy days happening here;
    I’ve got work to do!

    Collect the eggs!
    Brush the pup!
    There’s dirt on the stall mats,
    sweep it up!

    No lazy days happening here;
    I’ve got work to do!

    The horses are shedding,
    a good brushing they need.
    The garden needs planting,
    then come the weeds!

    No sitting around watching tv,
    I’ve got work to do!
